Our June USGBC Live program served a global virtual audience comprised of individuals from over 70 countries. 10 regionally designed content channels included over 85 presentations contributed by more than 170 presenters and featured thought leader moments. This incredibly rich and diverse content was watched live and replayed by our global community for 60 days following our virtual event!

As of August 11, access to Replay this content is no longer available in the USGBC Live Anytime Hub.  Content from the June 8-10 event has migrated to Education @USGBC.

LEED Starts with Accountable Measurement - So do Sustainable Events!

USGBC is proud to operate our events in an environmentally  sensitive manner. We carefully calculated the emissions related to presenting this virtual event, inclusive of streaming all live and on-demand education  content as well as advance speaker rehearsals and support.  Our calculations were verified by a third-party and we are proud to offset the equivalent of metric tons of CO2 through contributions to the Afognak Island Forest Preservation project. 

Afognak, the second-largest island on the Kodiak Archipelago off Alaska's southern coast, is home to wildlife such as the huge Kodiak brown bear and many fish, including rainbow trout, Arctic char, and five species of Pacific salmon. The pervasive timber industry has marred Afognak's otherwise pristine wilderness landscape. This project impacts 8,219 acres of low elevation, coastal temperate rainforests enhancing biodiversity, water, and all attributes of the local environment by retaining and protecting the existing forest as an intact, fully-functioning eco system and focuses on salvage, restoration and preventative management of small areas annually. Moreover, while the project has a 30-year credit period, its ancient forests will be protected forever.
